Fun at the dessert potluck!

We had a sweet time on Monday as we indulged in a variety of desserts! Hisham's baklava was the first to go, and slowly we finished the rest of the delicacies! This event exemplified what it means to exchange. In the last newsletter, we asked ourselves, what the meaning of exchange was in the first place. It is not necessarily a quid pro quo match up. In other words, exchanging goods and services can occur between multiple people. For the potluck, I made chocolate strawberries and someone bought an oreo chocolate cake. While neither of us may have indulged in the other's good, we still pleased other peoples' taste buds. Everyone was truly pleased because many people were able to offer a delciious treat. Sharing is what allows this kind of exchange to happen. Let's keep doing it! Send us your ideas for another potluck event in the Fall and get involved!
